First, Prez Bush says now is not the time to quibble about the gargantuan salaries these heads of failed Wall Street firms are making, but in addition they are trying to slip into the bailout proposal (in the ironically titled Section 8) the following:
"Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency."
Might as well just say non-accountable. Again, why are we not hearing about this? PLEASE contact your congressmen/congresswomen and ask, no-demand- that they not pass this as is. This is the next step to eradicating our democracy.
