Scenes from a Friday

This morning we had pancakes for breakfast and as it was warm early, decided to walk the dogs right after breakfast. They were terrible. Pulling, and more pulling. It was wet, so the kids had their snowboots (closest thing I have to Wellies, poor things!) and off we went puddlejumping. We had upstairs playtime after that which included reading books, having "birthday cake", stacking blocks, and other miscellaneous funnery. Ava's in her room for quiet time now, playing Barbies (could she be any cuter? Her Ken doll is the dad, and he is taking his daughter Barbie to the museum!) and James is currently waking up ENTIRELY too early from his afternoon nap. Took out too much garbage and recycling, and washed dishes. Stood in front of the new dishwasher and drooled a little. Hopefully it will be working tomorrow at the latest. PJ decided to hard wire it after he got the stuff from the Depot to do a plug, so since he took the car today will be stopping on the way home for the required tooliness. Oh please please please can I have a dishwasher? No pressure, though, PJ! I can't wait to review it once we get it rolling.
James is requesting "Bips" from his room, so I am going to get him up for a snack. That boy loves his tortilla chips and salsa! Plus with the 71 degree weather I have all the windows open and the thunderstorms they promised are HERE so I must go take care of that as well. Please continue to comment, I love you all!
