First Fruits of the Thuringer Garden 2008

We harvested a head of broccoli from the garden last week. It was the tastiest broccoli I have ever eaten hands down. There was something about the florets that were fuller in flavor and softer in texture. Really tasty. Ate some raw, then I steamed the rest for dinner. Incredibly good. No salt, no butter, no cheese sauce necessary. Just unbelievably good broccoli. Even the kids liked it !
(Garden update: There are tomatoes on the mystery tomato plant but we are not sure which ones they will be- PJ's latest prediction is orange, which would be quite great. There are lots of tomatoes on the red cutting tomato plant, still green, and there are tons of sweet yellow tomatoes starting to turn yellow-I predict some straight from the garden snacking in the next few days!)
